“Phelan’s Favourites”: Experiences to savour while visiting Adelaide from 2024 NIBA Convention Chair Di Phelan

Somerled Cellar Bar

The historic township of Hahndorf is a great place to base yourself for a few days whilst you explore what is on offer.

Hahndorf is near and dear to me as it is the place I grew up. The main street is full of little shops to explore and some great cafes and restaurants. One of my favourite things to do when in Hahndorf is to drop into Somerled Cellar Bar when strolling down the main street. Run by the Moody family, Rob is a former wine maker for Penfolds and Wynns.

Here, you will find a wine to suit all tastes. While you’re there, you should try the anchovy sticks, or have some cheese puffs to snack on whilst enjoying the ambience.

Arrive early in Adelaide and make sure to book into a performance at UKARIA on either 18 or 19 October, which will be the perfect prelude to your 2024 NIBA Convention experience.
